  • Eternal Champions 3 - Rumor
  • Heracles no Daibouken JPN - Only title mentioned in some Japanese magazins
  • NHL Powerplay 98 - Cover Art floating on the Internet
  • Policenauts USA - Probably need to be put on the 1st list but we need some proofs that we don't have now. Please submot some ;)
  • Psychic Force - Only title mentioned in some Japanese magazins
  • Rent-a-Hero - Rumor

Please continue the list ;)
I don't remember the title of the game own by 2 saturn collectors, never released, and based on a NES game.

Every title may have its own topic here with all the proof collected so far. It could be a great way to have all the stuff in the same place. I will let you make them ;)

Fighting Force was finished, review copies were sent to the UK Sega Saturn mag.

Monica no Shiro (T-22201G) - we have cover art and commercials online, but the game was never released.

NHL Powerplay 98 had Saturn cover art floating online for the longest time, maybe the Saturn port was just canceled?

Shenmue - started on the Saturn, eventually finished on the DC.

Supposedly there was a Rent-a-Hero game for Saturn as well, but this is just a rumor I heard from a guy who worked at Sega around 2003. It would make sense for various reason: AM2 supplied some of the best Saturn games, Rent-a-Hero was in Fighters Megamix, and a Rent-a-hero game was eventually released on the Dreamcast (with Segata Sanshiro as your trainer!).

Eternal Champions 3 was rumored to be under development (or planned anyway), but was axed because Sega didn't want to saturate the fighting game market and worsen sales of Virtua Fighter 2. And then they released crap like Golden Axe The Duel.

A Comix Zone concept for Saturn was created, but it never went anywhere.

And of course there's VF3.

I love to found a proto af the game : Magic The Gathering - Battlemage. And a proto of Ninja.

Acclaim made advert of Magic in his flyer. And eidos do the same for Ninja and fighting force.
Full-sets : Saturn PAL 187/273, Mega-CD PAL 21/95, 32X US 20/32

huh. What do we count as concrete proof, releases only? Because we have concrete proof for Fighting Force and Shenmue otherwise.

Fighting Force proof:

http://www.x-cult.org/images/games/120/ ... eview2.jpg
SSM says: "We now have a virtually complete Saturn version".

Comix Zone 3d concept:

This was released by Peter Morawiec, who was the lead designer of the Megadrive version. So it's not just a rumor... Of course, the game never went past the concept/idea phase.

Shenmue had a demo reel released by AM2 themselves of the saturn version, and it was mentioned in interviews as well - definitely not just a rumor.

Heracles no Daibouken was released as Herc's Adventures in the USA.

Virtua Fighter 3 was definitely mentioned in multiple magazines to be under development, but I don't remember any actual footage of the Saturn version. The only supposed pictures online are from an incomplete Model 3 emulator.

Hi.

Chill is not "Beta released", it's actually "Game released", like Return Fire. What was released at SegaSaturno was a fully finished review copy of the game that originally emerged from a former Super Juegos magazine journalist, and was what Sega Europe was going to release.

There's also Waterworld by Ocean. A completed copy of the game has been confirmed to be in the hands of its creator, the former Ocean of America's programmer Steve Woita. He doesn't want to release the game because of possible legal issues with Universal.

Proof as not only people talking about it but "physical" proof that can be shown.

Fighting Force, Shenmue and VF3 put on the 1st list.
Comix Zone: your link is dead. For game that didn't past the concept/idea phase, I don't think we can called them real unreleased game as "nothing" were done. Comix Zone may went further btw.

Shenmue: where did the demo has been released ? I didn't really keep my eyes on this.

Exactly, but JPN released announced and never went out.

There's a link for the comix zone concept here:

They don't like hotlinking it seems.

The Shenmue Saturn video came from Shenmue 2, after you've beaten the game (according to google).
