Long time no see
Three months without making a news ? Yep, I had a lot of works... But I took all my week-end to finish the update of the database, and here are the news:
- first of all, our staff becomes bigger: Asta joins us (welcome guy!) and will provide some fresh videos, screenshots and reviews for the site. He will probably make a news during next week, so stay tuned ;)
- I added no less than 7 new games to the database: 4 Brazilian games (thanks to Johnny!), 1 Chinese game and 2 Japanese games (yep, Japanese :P). I have some other Japanese games to add but I am waiting to get them before as I am not 100% sure they really exist.
Great news for collectors!
I just made a page for the japanese games which never came with a regcard (registration card). This is a WIP list, and we only list games for which we are 100% sure they never got any regcard. How to be 100% sure ? Because we or some of our contributors opened sealed games to check if there is a regcard or not.
I have worked on the database since 2 months now and today I update it. Here are the new stuff available:
1) one new demo added: Clockwork Knight Sample JPN
2) a lot of developpers and publishers have been added, mostly for japanese games
3) one new field has been added in the game/demo core data: The type of sound and music files
4) Omake / Bonus(es) are now downloadable. I also made a WIP list of games and demos with Omake or Bonus(es). You can check it here: Omake list. You can also find it on the Special Search page. Omake / Bonus(es) are downloadable on each game and demo entry.
Well, this news may not really concern our international visitors but let me tell you that the french reviews'section has been modified for more clarity. We divide it into genres but intentionally didn't make it more precise because some of them would maybe remain as blank (or very poor) categories. Of course, changes will eventually occures with time and needs.
So let's start this year with the reviews i wrote for the most obscure role-playing-game of the Saturn :
I want to wish saturn_workship good luck for his project, as he is working on something great (videos + sega is always great) ;)

Rarest USA Titles
I updated the saturn database with some new screenshots, mini-covers, infos and I corrected some entries. I finally got all of the rarest USA titles (thanks to scott21 for most of them) so it's time to let you know which ones they are:
You will find a picture for all of them, I will add some screenshots and fill the blanks for some of them in the future.
See ya!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all of our readers!
To begin this year, let's download videos: all our videos are now available for download, so we have about 585 videos available now. The new ones are all the ones for the Game Basic Database and the last ones I made for the Games Database.
Also, here are some statistics of satakore.com from the past year (2007):
- more than 73.500 unique visitors (between 4.000 in january and 13.800 in december)
- between 800.000 to 1.300.000 pages seen (between 2.290 to 3.510 pages per day (average), with about 1.300 pages per day in january and 3.800 pages per day in december)
- more than 6.150.000 files downloaded/requested (more than 16.800 files per day)
- about 7.300.000 hits
- more than 181 GB of bandwidth used (with 54 GB only in december)
Most of the stats have been multiplied by 3 or more between january and december, and it seems they keep growing in 2008: already 10GB downloaded, more than 4.400 visits (about 2.900 unique visitors), more than 20.000 pages seen (4.000 per day) and more than 138.000 files downloaded/requested for the first 5 days of the year.
Really thanks to all of you!
We will continue to make some great news in 2008, just for YOU :D
